Happy 100th Anniversary
of Afghan-Turkish
Friendship day!

March 1, 1921

Afghanistan and Turkey are two brother states that have always been friends with each other throughout history. Although this friendship dates back to very old times even before Mevlana Jalaluddin Belhi, it was registered by the states for the first time with the Friendship Agreement signed on March 1, 1921.

Afghanistan was the first Muslim country to send an envoy to Ankara, recognizing Turkey's independence. In addition, Afghanistan has a very important place in terms of being the first state to approve National Pact (Misak-ı Milli)
